Rose cut diamond: Rose cut diamonds are diamonds cut in a way that they're flat from underneath and half spherical from above. However the spherical part is not 1 smooth half globe but divided into small facets. In contrary with modern brilliant cut diamonds, they reflect not as much light. But when they sparkle they have a more disperse sparkle then modern cut brilliants (which I find really 'cold').
